Product Overview | This product constitutes a ready-to-use microwell and strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit designed for the assessment of the regulator of telomere elongation helicase 1 (RTEL1) ELISA Kit target analytes within biological samples. The concentration gradients of the Kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical Kit detection range in biological research samples containing RTEL1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the Kit is based on RTEL1 antibody-RTEL1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect RTEL1 antigen targets in samples. It's important to note that this ELISA Kit is specifically tailored for detecting native, not recombinant RTEL1. |
Storage Conditions | Store all reagents at 2-8°C |
Notes | Occasionally, trace amounts of reagent may remain in the closure of the product vial during shipment and storage of the RTEL1 ELISA kit. It is recommended that any liquid that may be present in the lid of the container be centrifuged to the bottom using a bench-top centrifuge prior to experimentation. |

Protein Family | Regulator of telomere elongation helicase |
UniProt Comments | RTEL1: ATP-dependent DNA helicase required to suppress inappropriate homologous recombination, thereby playing a central role DNA repair and in the maintenance of genomic stability. Antagonizes homologous recombination by promoting the disassembly of D loop recombination intermediates. Also required to regulate telomere length; probably due to its anti-recombinase function. Belongs to the helicase family. RAD3/XPD subfamily. 8 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.Protein type: DNA repair, damage; EC 3.6.4.12; HelicaseCellular Component: nucleusMolecular ATP-dependent DNA helicase activity; nucleic acid binding; DNA binding; hydrolase activity; 4 iron, 4 sulfur cluster binding; metal ion binding; iron-sulfur cluster binding; nucleotide binding; ATP-dependent helicase activity; helicase activity; ATP binding; hydrolase activity, acting on acid anhydrides, in phosphorus-containing anhydridesBiological Process: nucleobase, nucleoside, nucleotide and nucleic acid metabolic process; DNA repair; response to DNA damage stimulus; telomere maintenance; DNA duplex unwinding |
