Product Overview | This kit is used for quantitative detection of telomerase (TE) activity in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, urine, saliva, and other biological fluids. |
Storage Conditions | Store at 4°C/-20°C |
Notes | 1. Upon opening the package, please verify that all components are complete. 2. If the kit has been opened, store the entire kit at 4°C. If the kit is not used up in 1 week, store the Pre-Coated Microplate, Standard, Biotinylated Antibody, and Streptavidin-HRP at -20°C, and store the rest of the reagents at 4°C. Please ensure that all components are used within 6 months. 3. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and do not use the kit beyond the expiration date. 4. If the whole kit is stored at -20°C, place the kit at 4°C the day before the experiment. 5. The cap must be tightened to prevent evaporation and microbial contamination. The reagent volume slightly exceeds the volume indicated on the labels, please use accurate measuring equipment and do not pour directly into the vial. 6. All kit components have been formulated and undergone quality control testing to ensure successful functionality. Do not mix or substitute reagents or materials from other kits. The detection effect of the kit will not be guaranteed if utilized separately or substituted. |
Shelf Life | 6 months (4°C for short time storage) 1 year (-20°C for long-term storage) |
Test Principle | The kit utilizes the sandwich enzyme immunoassay principle for testing. The provided microtiter plate has been pre-coated with an antibody. To perform the test, standards or samples are added to the appropriate wells of the microtiter plate, where they bind to the biotin-conjugated antibody. Then, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each well and allowed to incubate. Subsequently, the TMB substrate solution is added. Only those wells containing human TE, biotin conjugated antibody, and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a color change. The enzyme substrate reaction is stopped by adding a sulphuric acid solution, and the resulting color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm ± 10 nm. Finally, the concentration of human TE in the samples is determined by comparing the optical density (OD) of the samples to the standard curve. |
Reactivity | Human |
Specificity | This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for the detection of Human TE. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human TE and analogs was observed. |
