General Info
Size 48-Strip-Wells / 96-Strip-Wells / 5×96-Strip-Wells / 10×96-Strip-Wells
Product Overview This product constitutes a ready-to-use microwell and strip plate ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) Kit designed for the assessment of the Telomerase Protein Component 1 (TEP1) ELISA Kit target analytes within biological samples. The concentration gradients of the Kit standards or positive controls render a theoretical Kit detection range in biological research samples containing TEP1. The ELISA analytical biochemical technique of the Kit is based on TEP1 antibody-TEP1 antigen interactions (immunosorbency) and an HRP colorimetric detection system to detect TEP1 antigen targets in samples. It's important to note that this ELISA Kit is specifically tailored for detecting native, not recombinant TEP1.
Storage Conditions Store all reagents at 2-8°C
Notes Occasionally, trace amounts of reagent may remain in the closure of the product vial during shipment and storage of the TEP1 ELISA kit. It is recommended that any liquid that may be present in the lid of the container be centrifuged to the bottom using a bench-top centrifuge prior to experimentation.
Reactivity Fish
Shipping Conditions Dry Ice

NCBI Summary This gene product is a component of the ribonucleoprotein complex responsible for telomerase activity which catalyzes the addition of new telomeres on the chromosome ends. The telomerase-associated proteins are conserved from ciliates to humans. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]
UniProt Comments TEP1: Component of the telomerase ribonucleoprotein complex that is essential for the replication of chromosome termini. Also component of the ribonucleoprotein vaults particle, a multi- subunit structure involved in nucleo-cytoplasmic transport. Responsible for the localizing and stabilizing vault RNA (vRNA) association in the vault ribonucleoprotein particle. Binds to TERC. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.Protein type: DNA repair, damageChromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q11.2Cellular Component: chromosome, telomeric region; cytoplasm; nuclear matrix; ribonucleoprotein complex; telomerase holoenzyme complexMolecular ATP binding; enzyme binding; p53 binding; RNA binding; telomerase activityBiological Process: RNA-dependent DNA replication; telomere maintenance via recombination
