| Product Overview | Accurate and consistent quantification of telomere length is essential in many aspects of cell biology, such as chromosomal instability, DNA repair, senescence, apoptosis, cell dysfunctions, and oncogenesis. The SMT003 kit is designed to measure the average telomere length directly in a population of human cells. The telomere primer set recognizes and amplifies telomere sequences. For data normalization, the single copy reference (SCR) primer set recognizes and amplifies 100 bp-long regions on human chromosome 17. To facilitate the calculation of absolute telomere length in target samples, the kit also contains a reference genomic DNA sample. This reference sample possesses a known telomere length, allowing for calibration and accurate determination of telomere length in the target samples. |
| Storage Conditions | Store the 2 × qPCR master mix in the dark at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer, the primers and the reference genomic DNA sample at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer, and the nuclease-free H2O at 4°C. |
